A thoughtful transformation of a classic Victorian-style home, this inspired renovation drew inspiration from our client’s extensive collection of art and sculptures.
Designed to be respectfully integrated with the front façade and garden of the property, our client’s goal was to improve the layout and solar access of the home, with open living spaces the outdoors.
Coinciding cubes clad in black, ash-toned Western Red Cedar emerge against the existing white weatherboards in a stunning juxtaposition between new and original. The overlapping lines of each cube are revealed internally to define individual spaces within the open plan, while lighting installations – a feature in itself – spotlight our client’s collection of artwork both inside and out.
