Behind the retained Victorian façade, a dark timber pavilion creates a distinctly different character for contemporary family life. Generous openings connect the new kitchen, dining and living spaces directly with the garden, while the blackened timber exterior provides a deliberate contrast to the original home. The result brings old and new together while allowing each to retain its own identity.
